GHANDHI JAYANTI

GHANDHI JAYANTI

Hi,

Cardiff Bay Neighbourhood Police team were out today engaging with people who attended the Gandhi statue on Bute Place to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti.

Gandhi Jayanti is an annual observance marking the birth of Mahatma Gandhi, the leader who shaped India’s independence through non-violent resistance. It reflects his enduring ideals of truth, peace, and compassion, which united millions in the fight against British rule and continue to inspire movements worldwide. Originating from his birth in 1869 in Porbandar and his leadership from the Champaran Satyagraha to the Quit India Movement, the day also holds global recognition as the International Day of Non-Violence.

Wishing you a peaceful and meaningful Gandhi Jayanti. May Bapu's ideal's continue to inspire us.
